A better route to take is to add this to your gamepage as media if you want people to look at it. Your subs will be notified of the addition, and it'll show up under the Latest Media section on the front page.
As it is, this is close enough to advertising your game on the forums, which we don't allow.

I dunno, but I feel it should be okay for people to make statuses of LPs they got beyond just doing so on their gamepage.
The biggest thing for me is that it seems there's a lot of people who would rather watch someone else play a game then themselves check it out. Making a status gives a wider audience of who sees it to the developer. And like LockeZ said this is kinda a tool for the user. And while it shows on the community page, I think that should be kinda the point.
Liberty does do this all the time and hasn't been a problem until recently. Isn't that just advertising for those games? The whole point of LPs is that someone else tries it and allows others to figure out if they want to as well. What difference does it make if it's a community game or whatever?

You've got a point about advertising yourself, but we have media tabs on gamepages for this exact reason. In about a day or two, this status will be off the Community portal and precious few will ever see it, certainly not anyone actively looking for LPs of a game. On the gamepage, though, it'll be visible for anyone clicking the media tab so long as the original creator doesn't remove the linked vid.
RE Liberty's streams: I think there's a huge difference between advertising an already finished video playthrough of your own game and inviting the RMN community to come hang out and chat during an ongoing playthrough of other people's games, be they from RMN or elsewhere. There's nothing wrong with trying to actively interact with the community on the community portal.

What if I don't wanna necessarily "fully endorse" a Let's Play by putting it in the media tab of my game's page, but I do wanna let people know it exists if they do wanna watch it?
I'm not sure what is said in this video, because I just kinda grazed through it. I'm not sure what they'll say in the future. What if they say something homophobic or racist about one of the characters, or just in general, and then that's on my game's official page? That'd be bad.
That rationale is why I posted it in a status instead of on the game's page. Just figured I'd let you know.

You can make another page on your gamepage that links to the video in question and others that people might make. You can even add your own comments on it, talking about how you don't agree with x or y, but that z is right or that you're working on u.
Even if you don't endorse it, that person is free to post it to your page as media if they want, too, and it would stay there as a media submission (unless there was something completely wrong with the LP like it was clearly made to harass you or insult you personally, in which case you can ask for it to be moved.)
There are other places to post your media submissions. You could also just post a link in a comment on your gamepage if you wanted to share it but not give it a permanent place on your gamepage, too.
