I usually do my best work when smoking weed or drinking lightly.
When I do something sober I almost always change it when I come back to it with superior ideas, lol.
Working on something when that creative spark is absent probably isn't the best idea :P

That's why you come up with an idea and leave it until you come up with a way to make that original idea even better, then you implement it.
