BLUEPHOENIX'S PROFILE

I like making games for fun. I've been using Rpg Maker since 2008. I usually work alone and for fun, making games in my spare time but I wouldn't mind working with somebody else if given the chance.

a full Penance remaster is coming
author=Dyhalto
You're not going to change the engine, are you? Changing game engines mid-development is a death knell for any project.
I know. It's still going to be in rmk2003. That's why I'm calling it a remaster instead of a remake. The second part (that can be considered a sequel) will also be in rmk2003 and will take place right after the events of the first part.
- Update 2021
author=Shadonir
I think the core concept of the game was really good, at the same time the work felt a bit derivative with all the undertale references and story integrations, they work as easter eggs maybe but being tied to the story was a bit distracting.
But mechanically i think this game really shines, and again, the narrative as a whole is really decent, better than anything i could come up with at least.
So i am looking forward to seeing the update/remaster.
Yes, I totally agree. That's why I've already minimized Sans and Papyrus' roles in the game, keeping them only as a cameo. They're no longer part of the story, but they're still in the game. The Undertale phase is now over, but I still love and will always love it. It has been one of the most inspiring RPGs I've ever played, but making Sans and Papyrus too important to the story made Penance feel more like a fangame than an actual original game. I'll probably still keep them as cameos, as a tribute to Tobyfox, but that's as far as they should be.

author=DyhaltoYes, I've been working on it for quite some time now. The title is also going to change. I'll delete this page and upload it as a new complete game. It will be four chapters long, with the fourth ending where the current version ended. Now I'm working on the fifth chapter that will lead to the true ending, which will be completely different.
An overhaul? Neat B)
I'll make a trailer sometime soon.
The reason for this remake is because I thought the dialogues i wrote when i was sixteen years old needed an upgrade. They couldn't do justice to the story and the characters were too blunt and simple, with little interactions between them. The reviews have also helped me a lot.
I believe the game has evolved as I have grown as well. At least I hope so. I want to believe my 'game making' and 'story telling' skills have improved, so I came back to Penance, sisnce it means a lot to me.
