The process of making my IGMC game has been a lot more scary than the last.

For one, I have not written a coherent full story since I was 12 years old, and this one is a whopper. It's quite heavy, it has commentary on the detachment of people from their environment, the lack of connection with others, and the effect of social media on our brains. But at the same time it's a story of romance.

I don't wanna divulge further, because it's kinda secretive, but I just wanted to share that this is freaking me out. I'm scared and crazy and wack beyond compare.

At least this game is going to be interesting.

Hang in there and do your best!
I'm keeping mine hidden for the time being ( out of shame, compared to the other entries ) and I am getting a bit stressed myself on not finishing it by the deadline. ><

But good luck, Cash. =)

It's weird, I'm much less hyped by the IGMC than I was last year. I mean as a player I'm looking forward to the finished product so I can play them, but last year I was much more interested in the process, watching the steps the devs took. Now I'm very much, oh look they made their stretch goals, tell me when it is done so I can play them.
^ Weird, I feel the same. The dev process is very exciting but stressful. That's why I lurk over at GameDev Fort to see how they're progressing and if I can spot potential contenders. XD
For me it's the opposite, I wasn't at all engaged in the process last year, so this is pretty cool. Although I really just keep an eye out for one or two games.

I feel like I should be more involved though, not just because I've been informed I give good feedback, but also so I can make myself a short (long) list of games I do want to try. I didn't get around to playing all of the games from last year, given that there were 700+ but I did knock over at least half of them before I was done. I should be a little more objective about it this year and winnow the wheat from the chaff early rather than later.

I suppose in the end it doesn't matter that much, if something is good it'll rise to the surface eventually, or someone whose opinion I value will point it out to me.

They told me I was mad when I said I was going to create a spidertable. Who’s laughing now!!!

Just remember that we will be judging your worth as a human being based on your offering, and that, should you be found lacking, the consequences will be dire indeed.

Well, Account Mu was produced in secret last year, and this one will be much the same. Just gonna submit it under a pseudonym and let it sink or swim based on its own merits/failures. I doubt it will be on RMN soon. I don't want any of the judges knowing me out any sort of bias on it. It's not just Team Isolation, either, because I'm quite close friends with Artbane among others as well, who will be judging. Not that I will win anything, I just don't like putting people in awkward situations of having to remove their bias.
So far me and Minnow have had a pretty chill approach to game making for IGMC.

I'm certain that'll change when the due date creeps up on us.

To be fair, I thought Gourd had fallen off the Edge of Existence for a time. So, to see (and hear) otherwise is generally good news!

My internet fell into a blackhole, so I kinda did. You know I'd never leave you forever, Marrend~
