Right now I have, in no particular order and with some emotions undoubtedly being mixtures of others:

Anxiety/Stress - feeling of worry or nervousness or unease about something with an uncertain outcome
Fear - Might come under anxiety/stress
Dread - Great fear or apprehension
Belief - Trust, faith or confidence in your faith
Comfort - A measure of the ease and freedom from constraint that you can have during a conversation
Excitement
Realizing how cool you are (or how cool you think you are)
Realizing how terrible you are (or how terrible you think you are)
Confidence… raised or lowered confidence
Anger
Annoyance
Pity
Superiority
Frustration
Insecurity
Security
Calm
“Calmness”
Envy
Jealousy
Threatened
Approval
Sadness
Happiness/joy
Surprise
Shock
Optimistic
Shame
Embarrassment
Betrayed
Trusting
Depressed
Lonely

...

any others people can think of?
Investment - feeling like you're happy that this conversation has happened/want to continue with it until its end.

Confusion - having no idea what's being talked about

Helplessness or attraction/repulsion maybe?

If that helps you at all, then good~
Mostly just boredom, awkwardness, and distaste.

Thanks guys. I added them to my list on my personal doc. I especially like the ones with descriptions that you described, Gourd.
This might help :)

Wow, I don't see "stricken", "mortified", "disdain", "bemused", "indignant", "incredulous", "despondent", "exasperated", "pedantic", "abashed", or "unabashed" in either of those tables.
It's all about resignation in having to listen to someone talk.
"Mortification" does appears in one of those tables. "Mortification" is such a funny word, btw. It sounds so over-the-top, that it's almost comical. How does a "mortified" person looks like, I wonder? ...Anyway, most of these words are just synonyms. I see little to no point in trying to catalog or quantify them. Just open up a thesaurus, for Christ's sake.

But to add to the topic: usually I feel some kind of "second-hand embarrassment" by the vast amounts of 'doublethink' in display.
That, and a bit of "Schadenfreude", specially when some people gets thrown under the bus by their ideological overlords. =^)

I don't know any of these words.

Edit: I usually feel ashamed.

Stricken is how you feel when your parents insult your sexuality. Mortified is how you feel when you accidentally walk in on your sister naked. Disdain is a synonym for contempt (although, if you are disdainful, then you may feel that what you are disdainful of is beneath your contempt). Bemused is a synonym for confused (as a writer, I think of this as describing a confused appearance, i. e., you feel confused and you look bemused). You're indignant because that is SO not fair! Incredulous is the same as skeptical. Despondence is deep sorrow. Exasperated is annoyed to the point of anger. Pedantic is obsessive compulsive perfectionism. Abashed is the same as ashamed. Unabashed is shameless.

Does that help?
