I think you should just make all characters in the game have green squares around them.

Maybe split the poison status effect into two versions. Have the hornets and other early enemies use a weaker version that wears off after four or five rounds and does half the damage. Have a weak antidote item that cures the first and a strong antidote items that cures both.
And consider starting the player off with a handful of healing items. The Warrior of Light already has a full set of equipment he might well have a few goodies in his pockets.
i didnt add any items, but i did make a Venom status that goes away after 3 turns/ 1/3 chance per turn / end of battle and set it at a low priority, so that should help the poison problem. I also added the antidote to the item shop.


You added the antidote? AMAZING! Do tell, what does it do? I've not heard of such marvels in these are pee jeez.
