I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.
Instead of dialogues, just have characters who recite monologues back and forth, ignoring what the other one says. That's what the writing in most games feels like.
You can always pare out dialogue and tell a story through visuals or have a stripped-down story like NES-era RPGs. If you don't want to spend the time to get good at it, you might as well design a game that plays to your strengths.
