This looks great, really good use of the RTP.
Looks like the sort of map that'd be enjoyable to explore in your game as opposed to just making your way to progress - good job.

I'm not a fan of how the big rocks look sort of purple whilst the general tone of the area is grey. That is nitpicking though. ;)
It's a great map and a great use of the RTP. Oh, and congratulations for making good use of the whirlpool!! :)

Hello!
Didn't notice this introductions part of the forum!
I'm Dazzzlar (or Daz). I first started RPG Making back in 2001/2002 but never actually announced anything outside of small forums and to people I spoke to online. In fact, I'd go as far as saying I've never made any positive contribution to the community. :P
I lingered around a lot of the old forums and sites (Don Miguels Forums, GamingW, RPG2kNET, GGZ, RPG Palace etc.) and have played a vast majority of RPG Maker games, a lot of which I see here on this site.
However, I never actually managed to finish anything which is something I've always regretted - I've always had so many ideas roaming around in my head for a game but never actually made anything from them. I don't know if my expectations were too high or if I was just never patient enough to finish anything. I lost interest and over the last 3/4 years just looked around at RPG Maker sites with a slight curiosity as opposed to taking as big an interest as I previously had.
Recently though I decided that would change. I decided to re-install RM2K3 and actually try to finish a project. I'm a lot older now and my expectations are more realistic (and of course I know my limitations) and decided to find a good community to share whatever I finish with and where I can seek help, play other peoples games and just generally enjoy socialising with like minded people. I see a lot of potentially great games here and look forward to playing them and also I look forward to getting involved with the community.
I've gone on a bit here, so I'll stop typing now! Haha. I'll just finish saying I look forward to making friends on here and obviously sharing my creations and opinions with you all and joining in with a thriving community.

Backstage
I remember playing this game when you first released it years ago... can't remember what forum I found it on.
Can't wait to download it again when I get home from work and actually finish the thing!!! Hahaha.

Favorite videogame world.
I know a lot more worlds in games are more advanced/have a more developed history etc. but I always found the world of FFVII to be one of my favourite. I think it was mostly due to the freedom your given to roam around everywhere towards the end of the game once you've got the highwind/gold chocobo which at the time of playing (for me it was my first RPG) was quite advanced for a game. The freedom impressed me, especially at that young age (I was like... 10 or something :P).
Stand up Comedy anyone?
Another good British comedian I'd recommend is Rhod Gilbert - seen him live twice and was very funny and had his own show on the BBC for awhile (in fact it may still be going - not too sure...)
What are you currently reading?
I've just finished reading 'The Perks Of Being A Wallflower' by Stephen Chbosky. It's been one of my favourite books for the last 5 years and recently found out it was being made into a movie, so I felt a re-read was necessary. I'd recommend a read of it to most people, although I suppose it may be mainly aimed towards teenagers (I originally read it when I was 17).
