Retro Quest Review

I approve of this review.

On the subject of legality, you forgot about my HEINOUS use of RPG Maker 2003.

Hey look, over 100 downloads.

What was wrong with just putting "OVER 100 DOWNLOADS, COOL!" in large font on your main page?
S/he gets some makerscore this way.

I don't even know what Makerscore implies :U

That would require almost too much effort.

It's for those who didn't care enough to notice without me telling them.

The resizes backdrop AND the out-of-resolution monster really does bother me... ._.'
But this still seems rather interesting.

Long story: I couldn't find a good background, and this was the only good one I could find. This was before I decided to use RTP backgrounds, but I decided to stick with it anyway out of convenience.

Short story: I am very lazy and terrible.

I've just downloaded it, and the start position is obviously wrong.
The game begins in the middle of a dungeon, with a lvl 1 character, no skills, no explaination, overpowered mobs and an ice statue of the princess.
I die in the first two screens no matter what I do.

Should be corrected. :p

Oh bloody damn I have no idea how I did that. TO THE MAKER!

Thank you for the fantastic review, Amerkevicus, and yes, I have a sequel planned. I'm actually planning to have an RPG Maker VX sequel (With RTP graphics, most likely). The sequel follows the son of the Hero and the Princess from the first game, and once again, you were right with the prediction that there would be some plotholes covered up in the next game. Believe it or not, I made a bunch of plotholes on purpose (Vines, the true unexplained evil) in the game on purpose!

I really loved reading this review, and I'm glad you enjoyed Retro Quest!

mspaint my old friend we meet again

nice antialiasing on your 'retro' text there

Not MSpaint. Serif Drawplus. May as well have been paint. I've had no access to my bloody computer (Processor died), so I can't use Photoshop.

Also I wish people would stop nitpicking the graphical side of the game. Read that blog post, people.
