[RMVX ACE] [XAS Action Battle System] Help with the script
This is a pretty weird way to help, but there's a guy on the reddit/r/rpgmaker named Drykul that is probably the most knowledgeable on XAS who is currently active. The rest of us moved to Pearl ABS^^

Advice from you Veterans?
One thing I'm NOT a noob at is discussion forums and I am really pleased to see that the community is pleasant.
Thanks KingArthur, I will give those games a go. I am actually downloading Demon Legacy as I write this.
Do any of the RM systems have combat on the same map as the regular gameplay takes place? Like traditional Zelda type games?
Can RM XP and VX play games produced in 2k3?

First of all, i appreciate the response (so quick too for this time!)
I want to make a 2D RPG with puzzles and fighting and character development and the all around awesomeness that you find in games like ffvi/ffvii
PlayerWorlds is similar to RPG maker, its a tool for making an MMORPG. Everything takes place on one screen though, there arent "combat screens" or "world maps", all interaction occurs on the regular map.
Does RPG Maker follow traditional FF design? Meaning World Map, Combat Map, Town Map..
Can someone recommend me an excellent game produced with RPG Maker that I can download to give me an idea of what I will be working with?
Once again, Thanks!

"In your experience, Which RPG Maker would you recommend?"
You're going to have to know what kind of a game you're making first.

I am new to the community.
I LOVE rpgs.. LOVE LOVE LOVE them. But I hate what they have turned into now. We went from FFVI to Fable 3. It's sad to see the direction new RPGs are going. So I did some research and found RPG Maker and this site.
Questions!
In your experience, Which RPG Maker would you recommend?
Is RPG Maker similar to PlayerWorlds or Mirage in terms of actual designing?
For a noob like myself, how long would it take on average to learn and design a game?
If anyone is willing to answer some more questions, Id rather PM than take up precious space in the forum. Lemme kno
Thanks,
Dymdez
Edit: I started reading some stickies and see that I have already broken some rules when it comes to asking for advice. Whoops! Won't let it happen again.
