I'm glad to hear you're a fan of Sky Warriors :D I look forward to seeing what you put together for your fan game!
:O I submitted the game so now it just needs to be approved and people can read up on it. Also I didn't know you'd still be active so uh wasn't sure how to get ahold of you. I used the Astos sprite for my blue mage since it looked great as a base for it and swapping colors. If that is not okay I can change it to something else. ^^'

Heya, call me Nyx if it pleases you. Been dabbling with rpg maker 2003/mv for far
too long without a game released but finally been ramping up to release one hopefully before the years done :P A fangame in fact, very original do not steal :P I have the title in mind and after this I will be setting up the submission.
Hopefully what I'm working on will be of interest to people, even though the fangame in question there is an abundance of them and that likely gives it away! If interested keep an eye out for FINAL FANTASY CHAOS RISING! Since this is an intro post and not the game post I wont reveal much other then it is a reimaging/what if story based on FF1 using the NES sprites. Major inspirations to start this have been Final Fantasy Sky Warriors, another FF1 Fangame, and Strangers of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin.
I have a great deal of love for the OG game since it spawned one of the best JRPG game series even if the more modern ones are hit or miss for people, and I hope any other FF fans will find it a worthy fangame even though it will be far from perfect likely, as I am no god :P
Longer intro then most I saw but hey passions run deep!
