If you don't plan on using classes you can go to the vocabulary section of the database and leave it blank. .... I think...

Ah, I was hoping I could get this info. Sounds like a nice little feature for the game.
Thankfully it's the last part of the battle system to be completed!
Now I can continue on with Act 1. :D

The red bar is filled by the prestige points you get during battle. In order to get prestige you need to successfully Defend, Dodge, Parry, or Counter. Or, if you fight higher level monsters you will get points by using attacks/skills on them.
Once the bar is filled you receive 1 Merit Point.
You then use these new points to specialize your characters.
Merited abilities include: Party-wide Auras, Counter/Parrys, and exclusive abilities/stats.

The custom battle system looks pretty awesome, good job.
It's actually the DBS with a BUNCH of tweaking. This screenshot needs a little more polish. No faceset for the player yet and the HP will be showed differently.

Shouldn't there be a comma after "been"?
I don't believe so. In this sentence a pause after been seems a little over dramatized.
I think it works either way.
