Ask each a question only said lover would know the answer to. If both got it correct, I'd sit where I am and ask lover to come to me. If they were both identical and came to me, offer a three-way. The one that glares at/gives a sour look to/slaps me is most likely my lover.

Just my first reaction : someone who screams from afar without any further explanation "it's a trap" doesn't seem too trustworthy, basically, I hadn't gotten the joke...
@chana I personally would've went upstairs, as if there really was a malicius entity upstairs, why hasn't it attacked me yet? Of course, there is no right answer, just my line of thinking.
Also, it wasn't a joke, but the answers sometime are. It's just kind of customary to explain your answer.
