Which means I would have to go back into editing the game and essentially remake every map just to fit someone else's highly shallow standards. No thanks jokers!
author=Libertyauthor=unityOne of which I always link to when denying a game for mapping as well as the screenshot thread so that people may garner some critique on how to better their maps.
Weasels denied my game! Rzzzzz!
You don't actually have to remake all your maps, right? You just have to give a few screenshots of examples of maps that have at least some effort put into them. At least make an attempt to do three maps before complaining. There are tons of tutorials with tips on this.
Of course, you're more than welcome to make use of either at your own pace. When you created an account on RMN you saw the rules. They are part of the form when being filled in and you are told straight-out that we have the right to deny any submission -on any grounds- if we so desire. Yours is not he first whose maps were deemed under site standards, but you are the first to take to the status feed instead of actually going back and doing some work on the project in question.
Tell you what, if you can find three games with worse or equal mapping one RMN and five people to say aye to letting your maps through (they must be in the screenshot thread) then I'll take another look at the game in general. Hell, include a download link in your description and I'll even play it and send you something of developers notes (it will have to wait until after the judging for the Indie contest, but I will do it. I'll even Let's Try it if you want, instead, for better real-time reactions/notes).
First for everything, isn't there? Sorry my initial reaction happened to be disappointment and bitterness instead of kissing ass. I'd be fine with letting you personally take a look at my game and give your personal insight to me since you seem to be one of the elite on the site and you seemed to be asking in a civilized manner... but you won't do that unless it looks good enough huh? I guess I can't get any fairness here... :(

What a surprise, these two statuses are the only thing you've ever (successfully) put on the site.
You have no idea who you're even talking about.
I only joined this site a day or two ago, obviously my page is not going to be chock full of content yet.
Yeah I didn't know who I was talking about because the Notices failed to inform me of that. Excuuuuuuuuse me. He appears to have commented on this though. Glad it's not you at least...

Is that a Frank Zappa reference I sense? Weasels Ripped My Flesh! Rzzzzzz! Does that ring a bell? Not that your comment was much of a zing mind you, but if that was an intentional reference...
Anyway, I know that my pictures were not the best selections I could've made. I was rather hasty to get my game posted here. There are better maps later on (the particular improvement being more detail), but then again I was not expecting this site to be full of jerks who deny anyone the chance to share a game they put effort into making for other people if it doesn't look good enough at face value. I know my maps aren't the best looking in the world and sure there is room for improvement. I'm still a beginner with the program, knowledge on it is pretty rudimentary and I'm only learning the facts as I rope along. Do you NOT understand though, that it is very upsetting and discouraging for someone to work to make a game they've wanted to make on something for a long time and attempt to share it with people, only to be denied that very basic privilege because of the face value and not even have their game be given a good runaround before a critique is formed? I would've preferred the game to be given a good runaround before you all pound into my head how unplayable or bad-looking it is... at least those critiques would be actually grounded.
