[RMVX ACE] Need some help with a "Class System" idea
Hello everyone.
I'm currently making one of my first projects while experimenting with a lot of stuff and recently an idea for a progressive class system came to my mind, but I don't know how to make it work.
(I know I should start simple but I'd like to challenge myself with this)
The idea is this: I have classes divided by "roles" or main attributes. i.e. Physical classes being warriors, the ranged agility ones being archers, the magical ones being mages and agility melee ones being assassins. Each "section" is divided in tiers: basic classes, intermediate classes and advanced classes.
Now, this is the problem: I don't want the player to be able to switch from one category to another, so he can't abuse this system, neither I want him to be able to downgrade the characters (tier 2 or 3 into 1, for example) so the decisions have a greater impact and add a little bit of replayability.
Additional features that I'd like to know if they are possible:
My game doesn't make use of EXP and Levels
I'm using a lot of Yanfly's scripts, but not the classes system.
Thanks a lot for reading the wall of text and thanks you in advance. My english may not be very good or may be very roundabout. If it is, please excuse me.

Additional features that I'd like to know if they are possible:
- I want to make some actors be able to learn specific classes and once they do they cant switch.
- I'm using Yanfly's JP Manager and would like to have the option to use "tomes" for learning classes. In order to use such tomes the player would need to pay JP.
- Make some tomes that only certain actors can use.
- A way to avoid farming tons of JP.
- Making JP a variable so it shows as a window or so it could be added to dialogue via Yanfly's Message system.

Hello everyone!
Hello!
My name is Edgar and I'm from Latin America :) I just got the whole bunch of RPG Maker VX Ace goodies during the midweek offer via Steam in hopes of making some fun games to either sell or upload so others can enjoy them.
I have been working alone for a some time (back when I used VX, 2 or 3 years ago) but haven't learnt any of the more advanced stuff like scripting, parallax lighting, etc. My lifetime dream is to become a VG developer and create awesome stuff with a few friends.
It will be a long and tough road though, since I ignore a lot of stuff other, more experienced and dedicated users know like photoshop, sprite art, audio editing, composing, etc. I'm only confident in my writing skills and stories (I study Literature and Creative Writing) but I want to learn a lot of new stuff!
I hope to meet people like me in this community and get some advice for my projects. I'm counting on you all and pleased to meet you :D
