Ok yea, Ark killing himself was strange. Aside from the possibility of him just messing around, I can't shake the feeling that someone else was involved (through the power of their role, perhaps). But at the same time, he was acting like that since the first day, before someone could use their powers on him (are there powers that can be used during the day?).

I agree with Choas that there is likely a doctor amongst us, as well as a few other staple roles (someone more experienced give us an idea what those could be), and perhaps I was saved by one.

Now for my defense:
I didn't try to hide my role at that point it was either me or TMT. I could have somehow tried to make it seem like that power was his, but then he might have been the target. Leaving it like that would at least work in my favor, giving me the credibility. If TMT is mafia, I would have been the target either way, so once again it was better to leave things as they were.

As for why the mafia wouldn't have this power, its simple. They operate at night, so they would need more useful powers then just double votes (the day phase is controlled by the townies, IMO). A double vote would barely make a dent in larger games (which I assume are the norm), whereas roles like Silencer would be much more effective. Given that the mafia count this time around is about 2, they don't have people to spare for such trivial roles.

I don't know, he may have talked a little too much (and pointed fingers). He was actually pretty high on my suspicions list, but now that he's dead I don't really have any leads anymore.

Ark raises a good point. Who's to say he ISN'T mafia?

We say random pointless things until we give ourselves away (no this does not imply I'm mafia), or until others get tired of seeing our posts and lynch us.

I wouldn't mind if the game went a little faster. As it is, we're probably just using this extra time to second guess and screw ourselves over.
