df is pretty incredible. i've gotten to the demons a few times, but i enjoy the early stages the most, where i can experiment with new designs and weird mechanisms. as for graphics, i usually just use a custom ascii set or something, because i've played the roguelike genre for like six years and i'm fairly good at all of them.
