Uh... how old are you? Middle school is... not an Australian thing so it's hard to gauge age via that way. >.<;
I'm guessing it's somewhere between 7th to 9th grade, or 13-16. I'm just estimating though; we don't have middle school here either...
Also Kett, why not just go with NOT-scary plots. That way, you woyldn't have to alter your style.
