[RPG Maker VX] Time based event, ending event, and creating someone?

Ok, first off, if you haven't learned switches and variables yet, I suggest doing that now. They are very important elements of RPGMaker.

I have attached pictures of what the events would look like in RPGMakerXP. Note there are 3 pages, each activated by switches. And 2 are triggered to run automatically.

Sorry about the picutres, I couldn't get the hide tag to work.

RES stat help!

I am not familiar with the script you are talking about, but I'm sure there is a way. I'll copy into one of my projects and see if I can find something. Out of curiosity, how far off is the RES? According to the formula, it should be 58.47 for that level. Are the other stats 59? That would make it 3 * level /2424 off...Are the "curves" you generated straight?

EDIT: I just realized that you are using RMVX. I haven't purchased it yet, and my trial has expired. Can you PM me your edited version of the script in its entirety?

Dude, that's like posting a Rick Roll, you just don't do it -__-

You called? I don't see why everyone dislikes getting RickRoll'd...I RickRoll myself often, it's catchy!

RES stat help!

Ok, so technically you want the character to gain ~1.938775510204082 res per level. Since some round will be involved you could use the following:

((190.to_f * (level - 1) / 98).to_int + ((((190.to_f * (level - 1) / 98) - (190.to_f * (level - 1) / 98).to_int) >= 0.5) ? 1 : 0)) + 10

If you wanted it to look cleaner, you could always:

#change variableName to whatever and level to @level for your case
variableName = 190.to_f * (level - 1) / 98 #put this before the array
x =>"(variableName.to_int + (((variableName - variableName.to_int) >= 0.5) ? 1 : 0)) + 10",

EDIT: In chrome the code tag allows code to continue outside of the post without word wrapping

Also I would recommend the Laxius Power series (1,2, & 3 - not the crap that they are making now). It has some pretty bad graphics, and some cheesy dialog, but I quite liked the story. Be prepared for ripped battlers though.
I'm sorry to say it, but I'd actually suggest against playing the Laxius Power series.
Only play if you can deal with horrible "engrish", unending grindfests, and drawn sex scenes between children. I only played through these because I felt the need to conquer the seemingly unconquerable bullshit they threw my way. However, being that they were so challenging, I felt pretty accomplished after beating them (1 and 2, but 3 is the most tedious piece of crap in existence and I had to quit).

XD I enjoy the grindfests, but I will admit the English is pretty bad. 3 was the best! How could you finish the first 2 and not the 3rd?

I'm on 7, no issues here!

Best RPG Music of all time

^^Anything by Nubuo Uematsu! FFVIII is a good example, but you can pretty much choose any of his songs and expect it to be good. I'm a sucker for VII's music! Queue Aeris' Theme, Tifa's Theme, & One-Winged Angel!

Looking for a game

Are you looking for an Indie game - one made with RPGMaker or the like?

I loved Dark Eternal: Dissolution found here, http://www.zenosoft.net/. It has great music, story, mapping, and choices that affect the storyline.

Also I would recommend the Laxius Power series (1,2, & 3 - not the crap that they are making now). It has some pretty bad graphics, and some cheesy dialog, but I quite liked the story. Be prepared for ripped battlers though.

As far as console games, the early BoF series was pretty good. As well as FF2,3,etc. Suikoden...
