You should remove the third event tab. On the second one, instead of turning on "Self Switch B", have it disable "Self Switch A." This way the event will alternate between adding and removing the party member.

Hopefully that helps some. I don't really understand what the problem is. Might help if you explain it with some more detail about whats wrong.


im prety sure i did what you said and still didnt work.

well what i wanted it to do was say i want a character (Jin) for example. i want to be able to add him to the party and when hes in, his spot will be taken by say a sword on the map, and when i want to remove him he will be back at his spot and able to rejoin. but in my case this isnt working. when i tried the thing with the self switches he wont even show up when i start the game. so i need a simple way to make this work. and also i dont know if he would keep his levels if he rejoined later.

iv tried making page 1 self switch a move to page 2 wich is b and 2 moving to 3 wich is c and have 3 move back to a that only made the character completly disapear from the game

my story is going to consist of about 21 characters to join the party. and iv been trying to get a working script to add a party member and be able to remove him at any time. but when i try that the party member wont do anything els. i tried to tie 3 event tabs together but that caused the character to not show up ingame.

also if this does work should the member levels stay the same when they rejoin the group.

Scripting help.

hello everyone. i am fairly new to the rpg maker. currently using the VX Ace version. and as the title sugjests i need a bit of a hand with a few scripts.
i planned on making something like the item crafting system in persona 4 where you give enough of certain types of items to the old smith so he can make something with them. would anyone know how to do that? oh and also the battle music on my preset bosses seem to carry over to random encounters and not sure how to stop that.
