blip.tv could be good, but they're heavily into the conceit that they're a hosting site for ~*~tv webisodes~*~ so any kind of sequential content you put up will need to at least have that veneer. they seem to take a dim view of LPs as well and are known for removing videos without warning -- although I don't know if this would apply to RPG Maker games.
really, for straight-up hosting there isn't much better than Youtube right now. the Google+ integration thing is irritating, but on the plus side you can make your Youtube account its own discrete profile and then ignore it completely.

Except that the new update has comments on your videos go through G+ instead of the YT inbox system and is causing issues with posting comments and the like. >.<;

On another Google front, I tried the new Google maps to see how well it integrated Waze ... waited two whole minutes for the page to load and decided to give up. I can't see me myself getting a Chromebook anytime soon, depending on Google on everything (also no RMN gameplaying! :( ).
I had a hearty laugh when they said they were improving the "quality of discussion" with the Google+ Integration. I shall continue to use comment blocker and forget that they ever existed in the first place.

So far I have been asked to create and link a Google+ account, but managed to say NO and FUCK OFF each time it prompts. Has something changed?
Also, a good alternative is Dailymotion. It's a lot like Youtubebut is more lenient when it comes to softcore porn.

^ Basically you don't receive comment notices in the youtube inbox anymore. They have to go to Google+. And I think you can only comment on a video if you link your account to G+?
oh wow, this is lame-balls. look, I understand that my browsing habits are more valuable to sell for Google if everything is linked under a single account, but there is no way that I am going to associate anything outside of YT with the cesspool that is its comments section.
If your real name is now visible alongside your comments, I support this wholeheartedly. People will be less likely to be asshats now. It worked wonders for the quality of reviews and comments on Google Play when they instituted this.

This is just so that they can better track your habits to both market stuff to you and to sell your info.

Okay, this is confusing as fuck. I am attempting to link this, but I don't want to use my full name, but now I can't seem to login as my username, and logging in using my email address (which is what I used to do) logs me in using my Google+ and now all of my playlists and favorites and uploaded videos are missing.
I think you've gotta switch accounts while on YouTube (little arrow in the top-right, click Switch Accounts) and there should be an account for your G+ name and another one for your original YouTube channel, which'll have your playlists and favs.
That's how it worked for me, anyway. Now I have my original account with all my playlists and useful stuff, and a useless G+ account.

So, is there decent alternative to post videos online that isn't YouTube that you guys can personally recommend? My idea is to post some LPs I have planned. YT is starting to look like a less inviting place by the minute ...
