Just bought 7 games from Steam thanks to the current sale. Now I just have to find time to play them... :/ Maybe next month. >.<

You don't have a month! There's another sale in 20 days! If you wait too long all the games will stack up and then your games list will grow too large and you'll actually go insane at the size of it all! It's true! It happened to a friend of mine!

(This is a problem I am dealing with at the moment as well :P)

Yeah, but I'm pretty busy travelling for at least the next week or two, and perhaps more, so I won't have time to play. ;.;

Aw, bummer :/ At least traveling is fun, maybe?
Ah, lucky! I love games, and travelling. I saw Deadpool was on sale (and selling well) did you happen to buy that?
Nah, I managed to get FF7, though. And a few that I've had on my wishlist for a while. Plus some new indie ones.

Unfortunately, while I don't mind travelling, doing so in 30+ Celsius heat is pretty urgh. Especially when it's an older car with the air conditioner on the fritz. Also, it's been muggy, so... heatx2. >.<;
what else you get? I'm always super-bored with what I've got on my list. I'm the kind of consumer CEOs dream about.
Hm, Legend of Grimlock, Hero of the Kingdom, To the Moon, Hammerwatch, Terraria and Forced.

I had the day free so I decided to check them out. Forced wasn't as good as I thought it would be but it's not bad. Hero of the Kingdom was pretty neat (I already finished it XD ). I've yet to try To the Moon or Terraria. Hammerwatch was interesting but probably best played multi-player and Legend of Grimlock is pretty neat.
Of course, I need not say anything about FF7, right? I've yet to play the Steam version, but I doubt too much has changed.

So far I've really enjoyed Grimlock and Hero of the Kingdom. I'll probably replay Hero since I missed some achievements, and when I have down time I'll try to progress in Grimlock and try out the other two games. I've heard good things about Terraria and as a Minecraft fan, I think it'll be fun to mess around in. To the Moon is supposed to be pretty damn good, so I'm looking forward to playing that, too.
Legend of Grimrock is all kinds of interesting, yeah. I forgot I actually owned it until you mentioned it, though! yeah, I'm definitely going to have to finish it some time, I.m a sucker for secret passages and stuff.

if you like Terraria, you might also have fun with Starbound. it's coming out in early access on the fourth, and by all indications it's already quite complete and thorough to an extent that rivals Terraria (prior to the recent patch, maybe).

Yeah, it's not the heat, but the humidity ...

To the Moon seems to have quite a following.
Terraria was boring. You don't DO anything. There is no point.

Oh, don't mind me. I'm just thinking out loud.

Wish my skype was working so we could talk and play, Cazzle. :<

And I got a cancellation call this morning, so guess what I'm gonna do today~ ^.^

@Marrend: I was actually going to purchase a 4-pack of one of the games for that purpose - it was either Grimlock or Hammerwatch - but I didn't quite have the funds. :< Should have done it and forgone Forced. It's not quite my cup of tea. :/

@Kentona: It's like Minecraft where it's up to you to build and survive. I enjoy that kinda game sometimes, so I figured I would like it.

@mawk: I'll check it out. I got Spacebase DF-9 a while ago and it was pretty good, though there's a lot of stuff that's still being worked on since it's not complete yet.
@Gourd:
as it was calculated to encourage, yeah.

from a slightly more cynical standpoint, I found to the moon pretty formulaic and patronizing to the player... and at times weirdly exploitative of people with mental illnesses in order to make itself seem more touching. I was also a bit disappointed with how little it made use of the game's main premise, since it seemed to me like an opportunity for all kinds of interesting perception-based complexity.

but draw your own conclusions!

@Liberty:
ugh, I've been meaning to try DF-9! I've heard that it's still at an early point where things keep breaking between patches, though, so I might hold off a little while longer. everything about it seems pretty much like my kind of thing once it's a little more complete, though.
Well, you're not wrong. Your characters' AI is still a bit... dodgy. I had a base of 7 people and they all up and suffocated because fuck doors, apparently. :/
There's a lot of the game that's not intuitive, like knowing how certain areas work. It'd be nice to have the ability to control the characters, even if it were just a 'go here dumbass' over-ride command for those times they're too stupid to go through a perfectly working door. :/

Then again, it's still in alpha or beta I think, so there's bound to be bugs galore, but for where it is in the development, it's decent. If you see it on sale, grab it up. Better cheaper at an early stage than not at a later one.
@Mawk Hm, I didn't really think about it like that, though that is a bit cynical. It is kind of interesting to think that a formulaic approach to storytelling could make me sad though, I guess it's like the Hero's Journey but, like, the Sob's Story?

I can see you liking it either way, Libby!
