Why are a lot of us chicks?
What we did horribly on our first games.
My first game was basically just a bunch of people standing around in RTP grass, but you couldn't talk to any of them or do anything at all. I was so proud that I had discovered how to add events to the map, even if they couldn't do anything, that I decided to put it on blank CDs and pass it out at my school.
I was ten years old, though, so my friends were still kind of impressed.

Back on topic here for a moment, if I may...
I think there are a lot more girls here than should be because guys know that if a "girl" makes a game, suddenly a piece of shit game becomes something that is "amazing," "has so much potential," and has lots of untalented fucks lined up to help.
A girl who is into games that doesn't resemble an ogre is enough of a shock to anyone to cause some waves, but add one who is also into MAKING games and you'll see nergasms left and right. A girl gets a lot more attention/help/positive criticism than guys do here without a doubt.
You'll notice this same phenomenon in MMORPGs as well. Granted there half the guys that play girls let you know straight away that they're a guy who just prefers to look at a female avatar, but the other half pretend to be girls to get free shit, etc. Lucky for me, my girlfriend is both not a troll and likes to play games of different varieties (even though she's scared of PvP), so that's never been an issue to me personally. However, it's always fun to LOL at desperate dudes who were scammed by guys with 1's and 0's boobies.
GOTIS. This is a sad truth in many online communities. However, there isn't really a cure for it, so bitching about it is pointless. The good thing about this is that since the Internet is anonymous, you can always just create a new forum account posing as a girl so that everyone will like your games.

Sphere RPG- possible?
I am pretty sure that Sphere would be capable of these things, but I haven't the slightest clue why you would want to use it. You would get much quicker results with RPG Maker 2003, or, if you're willing to out a few bucks for a quality maker, RPG Maker VX.

Hello, everyone.
I'm a bit of an oldfag when it comes to RPG Maker. I started getting involved in the RPG Maker scene back in 2002, and I used to hang around sites like Gaming Ground Zero, rpg2knet, Kamain's World, and Calibur Games.
I didn't make many games myself (and released only one), but I was known for being a fanboy of Colt (who made the PTEI games) and Mr. Big T (who made the humorous Mr. Big T games, ultra-violent Dooms games, and a half-dozen poorly made hentai RPGs).
I stopped paying attention to the whole the whole thing back about 2007ish due to a bunch of whiny people complaining about it being illegal to distribute any games made with 95, 2000, or 2003. PRG Makers XP and VX were relatively new, and there was a civil war between pirates and people who actually payed for their software, causing many of the best sites to be shut down.
(I personally advocate the downloading of RPG Makers 95, 2000, and 2003 due to their not being made available commercially, but I view it as a disservice to Enterbrain to pirate XP and VX considering that those were released officially by the company.)
Not long after the Great RPG Maker War of 2007, I was incarcerated in a mental hospital, where I spent several happy years being released and sent back again.
Anywho, I was playing some of my old collection of rm2k games when I decided to see if anyone else was still involved in the RPG Maker business. I only expected to maybe find a crackpot or two making another shitty Final Fantasy ripoff, but instead I found an entire community based around RPG Maker.
Needless to say, I am very happy. At least until the scene gets raided by moralfags and I get sent back to a hospital. In the meantime, I plan on playing some games, making some friends, having fun, and getting involved in the scene where I was so many years ago.
