So like, I want an event that's triggered after a few others are completed.
Like triggering a cutscene after talking with everybody in the map.
How do I go about that?

Never mind. I kinda solved it by reading these instructions:

Load the original image into Gimp.
Click the Color Select tool.
Make the threshold zero.
Choose the “feather” option.
Add transparency to the image (Click Layer > Transparency > Add Alpha Channel.)
Click the background gray color. ...
Click Edit > Clear.

Any further help is appreciated, since I'm a total noob at this.

[RM2K3] Lower Tiles Obscuring Player

Before you guys start insulting me, I haven't even used the program for a week yet so I'm extremely stupid about these things, image-wise.

So basically, my problem is that I edited a tileset with GIMP, set it to 256 colors, and saved it as PNG, but my would-be transparent tile of the lower layer obscures the player. The character still walks but I can't see anything.

Here's what it looks like in Lower Tile Layer View:

Tileset size is 37.4 KB
Resolution is 480x256

What am I doing wrong?
