The money i spent on the new gorillaz album would have been better spent on crack cocaine. By far the worst album, only slightly better than The Fall.

Close19 fucking tracks and Albarn is the lead singer on just TWO.

I'm absolutely no one to judge an entire genre of music but this album makes me think that rap is to music what my instant ramen soup is to a well balanced and nutritional meal.
I listened to Demon Days right after listening to Humanz and i feel so sad now.

So you don't like Feel Good Inc or Clint Eastwood or Stylo or DoYaThing or any other of their songs with raps on them?
edit: I also thought Humanz was muddled and not very unique.

It's been a long time since i've felt this sad because of an album. Nothing good lasts forever i guess.

You guys are killing me. Humanz was really good! Just needed more Albarn singing. Lots of songs were super good. It also takes a few listens to "get it". We Got The Power is a beast. As is Submission and Andromeda. Saturn Barz super grew on me after a few listens. Momentz is a rally fun song that goes starts somewhere and takes some wild turns. I can go on like this about all the songs.
It feels less like an album and more like a thematic playlist but it's still really good.
With the exception of Plastic Beach, which is on a whole other level, it's easily on par with any of their prior releases

What are the songs I should check out from this album? I don't really follow Gorillaz but I quite enjoyed Feel Good Inc, Clint Eastwood and DoYaThing.
If you don't mind a crazy Jamaican guy singing, the lead single is a good place to start (mostly cause of the awesome music video)

What are the songs I should check out from this album?
Maybe the song with kali uchis, "She's My Collar", which is surprisingly not too bad.
All the others are a resounding Meh.
author=TungerManUIf you put saturn barz next to all the other tracks then you can really tell, since it's better than most of them bar Andromeda and Busted and Blue, thanks to the fact that Popcaan actually sings a bit instead of just reciting like Ascension, which is quite terrible.
I honestly don't understand why people like Saturnz Barz so much
Everyday robots has lonely press play and the history of a cheating heart which are fantastic tracks.
