I'm trying to watch everything with subs, not just anime. Because original voice-over usually is much better one.

I think you should watch OP, not read it. I don't think anime is better them manga in any case, but with so much action anime version is just way ahead. I've tried to read it, but it's not the same... And btw, voices!

The selfish power-hungry thing is interesting from a psychological standpoint, MM. How could any human do such a thing? Even to his own family members when he could have lived a good life and have a prosperous future ahead of him? One thing for certain was that it was not temptation (the notebook), but limitations.

Interesting? Maybe. A little. Very repulsive though. L is the one who is really interesting in DN. Selfish as well, but with more deep motivations.

Haven't watched CG yet, but DN is infinity+1 times more awesome than CG. It's a fact.
Edit: DN's ending was perfect. Befitting someone who understands true solitude.
CG is much better because of the main character. DN is about selfish power-hunger bastard. I love DN, but it's not like CG. Because CG is about true self-sacrifice. About wise hero and not about some spoiled child with God's power.

Why are you all comparing DN with CG? Completely different stuff.
And CG has a really epic ending, not like DN.

I keep calling Ivory 'he' by accident. Sorry about that ivory. I know how annoying it is to be called 'he' when you're female and shall endeavour not to do so anymore!
One girl, friend of mine, used to appear as "he" in games and random chats to avoid unwanted attention (you know, "OMG U R GIRL SHOW ME PIC OF UR BOOBIES OR TELL ME WHERE YOUR LIVE" stuff).
