It might happen one of these days. It was supposed to end there so the rest can be up to your imagination, but as time went on I was sad it was over and thought about a possible epilogue. I have an idea of how it would go. Recently I've been trying to plan a new story that takes place in the same universe as Shine. The epilogue might also hint at that.

Guys, there's an issue. For those of who you have reached Stop there, save, and re-download the game. There's a glitch a little later where the scene stops. I have no idea how it happened considering I've played through that scene probably 50 times, but it's fixed now. You can transfer your save. I'm really sorry for the inconvenience.

For those of you who saw a blog post from last year mentioning a new scene I added to help explain the "twist", that scene is being removed and put back to normal. I feel like I over-explained it and was insulting the player's intelligence. Even though the original version was a little confusing for some, I think it's better that way. The new version also kind of caused a minor plot hole, so yeah.

...Why are you using both MV sprites and VX Ace sprites, and VX Ace generated faces with MV RTP facesets... I played your first game and was a fan but my OCD will bother me with this, so I probably won't play it :\
If it makes you feel any better, VX Ace and MV sprites never actually mix (the car screenshot on this page used placeholder sprites for the suit guys which is why they look the same.) Some VX Ace sprites do have MV faces a little later on, so the faces mix, but the sprites never do. MV sprites are in the past story, and VX Ace sprites are in the present story. I tried using all VX Ace sprites at first, but there are only so many combinations before the characters start looking too similar to one another. Regardless, I'd love for you to play it.

I just played the game and oh boy this was satisfying..What really pissed me off me was the ending,I just hate cliffhangers like seriously..i hope you're done with part 2 cause i really wanna see what's gonna happen with carter and tristan( i think that was his name) and the remaining 8
Also i have another question:
Why did you choose tristan (or whatever his name is) to get out of the room with carter...You could've have chosen Leah or broody who are way more closer to Carter..Why did you choose a traitor?
I'm working on Part 2 but it probably won't be out for awhile. Once it gets to a certain point, I'll probably make a new page for it.
I chose Tristan because I just thought he was an interesting character that I could do more with. That, and I wanted Carter (and the player) to be suspicious of him.

Wait..wait...i was just checking out the soundtracks of the game,and did you perhaps take inspiration from a game called zero escape,cause both this rpg maker game and zero escape have the same concept

Zero escape: 10 people(It was Nine at the beginning...if you already played the game you know what i mean) are trapped by zero with sigma as the Mc
Plus there is a huge amount of soundtracks that you toke from Zero escape there was a soundtrack called *Nonary Game* and this was what the "game" was called in 999 and zero escape
I'm not trying to be mean over here or something.I just want to know cause zero escape is one of my favorite games adn it just feels soooo god to find an rpg maker game based of it

Yes! I'm a huge Zero Escape fan, and 999 and VLR are two of my favorite games. So you're right, it's one of my main sources of inspiration for Shine. I also took some inspiration from a manga called Liar Game where the characters play psychological games against each other.
