I think the icons are fine, I think what they need are like a little box or border around them, similar to how most MMOs and RPGs Uis are.
Yeah, that could work. Maybe with a black semi-transparent background behind the icons as well.

Thank you for your comments. I wanted to keep the HUD as simple as possible. Of course, when you start the game, everything starts empty.

Too much going on and maybe get a different font, the text is way too close to the sides and it's making it feel too tight
I agree. I would remove the bottom part, or if you really want to keep it make it smaller. Maybe use another font for the title? To make it different from the rest. I would say make the cat logo also smaller just so it doesn't take too much attention from the title screen itself.
