ODE'S PROFILE

I like rpg maker as a medium for telling stories.

Some of my favourites so far inclunded projects by
amaranthia - The Aveyond series
Quintessence the blighted venom
To the moon,
Everlong
The Millenium Series
Whisper of a Rose- kind of, the writing is subpar at times, but phenomenal ambience
Sweet Lily Dreams is pretty good from what I've seen
Eridani Games- Witch and Warrior. Ella's hope, Leah's tale are charmers.
Last Scenario and Exit Fate, where Exit Fate is a bit more enganging.

Other games I like:.
-Aquaria
- Braid

I pay a lot of attention to the way a game s written so a sloppily written game or one that displays little maturity and zero empathy with characters or their backgrounds or gender (like writing character dialogues without much consideration and using a lot of abbreviations) as well as soppy grammar will not be worthwile for me, no matter how good graphically it may be. Though I sure love great graphics and good feel to a game, it;s also importanr.

Projects I found on here that are really interesting/ promising

Star Stealing Prince

haha true, that, yes, I think it would be useful to have some sort of FAQ for thast area because it;s not clear what to do, I mean there are thiose chests that are not openable and I was kind of scratching my head whether that has anything to do with anything, but I see it;s more complicated, thanks, Ronove!

Also, I am always grateful for the shift walk speed accelaret thing, a lot of rpgs don;t seem to do that but it's better to have it, when you just want to speed uo, especially through areas you;ve been to before.

Also, the graphics for the characters are lovely! Really charming piece. I think you could go commercia, I really think this game is a step beyond quite a few others which do not hesitate to be commercial. Will be on the lookout for your new projects, hopefully.

Star Stealing Prince

I love this so far. Very well made and so much better than a few of the commercial rpg maker games- clearly lovingly crafted. A pleasure.
I am a bit stuck though, in the first tower in chapter 2 or 3 how do I proceed to the locked door? I foind all the levers but there is something I am missing and I canlt figure out.

This is the sort of idea I had in mind for my own project I mean not exactly it, just in terms of ambience I want to create...but I'm not even done with the story yet, let alone mapping and doing all that, .it will take ages but you sure are very inspiring! ^_^
