Because churches are nice, but they harbor the worst things imaginable: Pipe organs.
It doesn't help it has the word "organs" in its name.

Because church organs are often large enough to produce infrasound - sound that cannot be heard by our ears, but fucks us up by doing shit like vibrating our eyeballs (sometimes causing hallucinations!) and inducing anxiety.

I figured that pipe organs are generally associated with gothic/medieval. And thus carry strong religious connotation that calls forth images of the holy vs the profane. That or because organs sound important as all get-out.
