RAI-LAUREL'S PROFILE
I am, at best, an amateur when it comes to creating games, and a complete novice at programming. My forté is writing, primarily fantasy and poetry based in reality, and I want to use my talent to help create games. I've tried making several games on my own with no success, and I want to improve my skills in other aspects of game design as well as my writing.
My favorite overall genre is fantasy, but I have been known to dabble in horror, science-fiction, and, yes, reality. I believe that flavor text can add as much to a games world as dialogue, and I've taken the time in any game I've played to read what flavor text they choose to include.
If none of the above strikes your fancy, I can serve as a game-tester and/or editor to whatever writing you have (to eliminate typos and those embarrassing grammatical mistakes).

Hello Rai-Laurel,
I did enjoy your writing very much! The sample didn't need to be in relation to the game, so that's perfectly fine! Dialogue is likely the one we are most interested in, so by all means- I would be happy to have you on board to write some dialogue for us. Thank you so much for your application- you're a very talented writer indeed. Is there a particular method of contact you prefer?
I'll send you a private message via this site with my contact information, since I'm sure email will be a far easier way to share info and excerpts than forums or third party private messaging ;)

I will be interested in helping out with all the writing, but specifically the dialogue, and with planning events and outfits. I can provide you with with two samples of writing, but they will not be be related to this game in particular. If these samples aren't sufficient, I can play Shift the Tide and provide better samples related to this project.
This is a fairly recent bit of writing. It is a comedic oneshot based on the secondary protagonist, Garry, from the RGPMaker horror game Ib by kouri: Session.
This is a poem written in the perceived character Commander Shepard from the science-fiction RPG Mass Effect. The player, in game, chooses the background ranging from the privileged Spacer, the broken home of a Colonist, or the orphan Earthborn. I wrote from the perspective of the Colonist, whose family and friends were murdered by slavers: Mindoir.
If you'd like other samples, by all means, let me know. I do well at dialogue, and I enjoy creating and writing for characters. Limitations on my writing, as you list them, sound like a fun challenge, and the topic you're pursuing is both unique and admirable.
I eagerly await your reply.

Are you a fan of Doctor Who? If so, I have a doctor who game that I am making, and when I have done enough work, I can have you test my rpg maker 2003 game.
I am but more of the recent reboot. I haven't seen any of the older ones, if that's a deal-breaker. If it's not, then I'd be happy to test the game for you. When you're ready for me, just let me know.
Hello, I think I've gone about this backwards
Hello, I am new to the site but not so new at playing around with VX ACE or with Photoshop. Primarily a writer, but I want to learn more about other parts of game development. I have never finished a game but that could be due to biting off more than I can swallow and my own sense of personal perfection. So, here's hoping to a good learning experience and helping to create some fun games. Cheers!
