Event idea: Get a team together, and assign roles to the least qualified members

In practice it would be hard to judge who is qualified in what. I've been thinking we could have a "random" game make event, where we are randomly paired with people we don't know/never made a game with, given a random game title and are forced to make a game based on that title. It'll be pure evil <3

Sir Redd of Novus: He who made Prayer of the Faithless that one time, and that was pretty dang rad! :D

Sadistic Mode: change the title in the last three days of the contest.

They told me I was mad when I said I was going to create a spidertable. Who’s laughing now!!!

I'm not really sure "Intentionally make terrible games" is the best event idea, tbh.

This suggestion was made with about 0% seriousness, in case there was any doubt.
For context, I'm more than a little frustrated because I seem to have permanent mappers block and struggled to crap out a terrible campsite after about an hour and a half of concepts (I didn't use any B+ tiles because it took me that long to settle on a layout). So, in my frustration, I started imagining how horrifically hilarious it would be if I was a mapper in a team game and wondered who I could team up and combine my weaknesses with to create the ultimate anti-game.
Then I wanted to make it an event so I wouldn't be the only one feeling miserable.

Actually, it could be epic...

it's always worth it
LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

author=SoozI dunno. Event games are almost all terrible anyway. Might as well own it! At least we'd get experience doing stuff we suck at! "People who are unqualified to compose music" would be a highly competitive category.

Though I guess once you started assigning people to scripting who've never seen code before, instead of getting terrible games you just wouldn't get games.

In the sense that there's a long and tortured backstory, it drags on way too long, and p. much everyone dies?

Super RMN World, Bloody..., Super Pantito, and Last King of Hyrule are terrible games?

Did you miss the "almost" in there?

Last King of Hyrule doesn't really count as an event game because we spent a year and a half on it.
And I mean my best finished game is from an event also, but the stereotype is definitely that they mostly suck. It's pretty hard to make anything really enjoyable within a typical event's 3-week time limit.
