CloseApparently Nintendo owns the rights (or got permission) so... I mean, who wouldn't want their character in Smash Bros.? And Pac-man is a symbol, if an old one. I am not surprised but hey, I'm still waiting for Tetris pieces to make their debut~ ^.^
Yeah, Professor Layton needs to be included. I mean, they included the fitness chick ffs. That's just... what? >.<;

The future looks grim. You'd think they'd travel in that direction with NES Remix 1 & 2 having been released. The balloon fighter would be cool as well.
Given their promotion of Toad in Super Mario 3D World and the upcoming Toad treasure hunting puzzle game, I am 95% certain that Toad is going to be a playable character in Smash Bros U

But hey, don't forget now guys, Namco is making this game. Pac-Man was playable in the arcade Mario Kart games as well, so there is a bit of precedent for this.
While we're all ratting off random games/characters that aren't in Smash Bros... WHERE'S MY SUTTE HAKKUN STAGE/ITEM/ASSIST TROPHY/WHATEVER, MAN?!?!?!?!
Also, still miffed that Saki is still an Assist Trophy...

Yeah, Pac-Man actually fits well considering the heavy Namco influence in the game. He's not unusual at all to see in the game, he'll fit in beautifully with the likes of Mario, the Pokemon, or kiddy Mega Man. Now, if they added someone like Kazuya or Nightmare instead? That would be a little peculiar.
