PROJECT.Lovingly Review

AGH a quadruple post but I realized the problem. Apparently the bad ending only works if you didn't get any of the fragments, otherwise it runs into a dead end in the conditional branch. I've fixed it > ^ <

PROJECT.Lovingly Review

oh, and the Retry Buttons take away because you need less than 100 total retries to get the full ending = w =;; I boosted it to 200 in the new update though

PROJECT.Lovingly Review

OH crap I missed the entire second part of the review holy crap.
That was a bug that existed a long time ago and I thought I fixed it??? O _ O I have no idea why it's still happening because it works okay in my copy of the game. Maybe I accidentally uploaded an older build? idk ; o ; Try it again once I upload the update today

PROJECT.Lovingly Review

I looked and didn't find any issues other than a small graphical error in the credits for the no-Fragments ending. Thanks for bringing it up regardless, though! It inspired me to do a second bug check.

Also I'd say the review is spot on. The Soul Circuits were admittedly padding, haha ;///; but they're optional so I guess it's not as bad as it could be. And, the plot is fairly minimalist, but it comes together and does its job by the end, with the books and epilogue helping. I'm glad you liked the game tho!!

A glitch with the ending? o: which ending, the Black Moon ending or the one with Reverie?

I booted this up today! The visuals and music are super lovely, and the characters seemed really cute! One thing that I would really consider adding: some sort of hit point system. The fact that I can only screw up once before I have to start a whole section of a level over again is really frustrating.

If I had three or so shots at bumping into walls, I think I'd be less frustrated with the game overall. I really WANT to like this, but the clunkiness of the controls (which, lbr, is the fault of Ace, not anything you did!) made it too frustrating to play.

Thank you! I'm well aware of the control issues... ; - ; My playtesters thought that they were iffy but they eventually got used to them so I didn't think much of it. I know what the solution would be (pixel movement on the X-axis only) but I have no idea how I'd do that because I'm completely green in terms of scripting. I asked on RMWeb to see if someone could script it for me, but I didn't have any luck o ^ o

Also, HP was definitely considered and I might add it in a future update! . w .

Okay, the game has been reuploaded now. Is it still erroring?

PROJECT.Lovingly

I'm going to try reuploading the game, one moment

You can upload it to this page, you know? That way there's a link at the top, you can see how many times it's been downloaded and you can have more than one version and assign one to the banner. Also, you can hide them in the case of wanting testers to test a new version, then reupload the same file to replace the old one, unhide and assign as main download and add a description note to each as well.

RMN hosts up to 500MB files for free. ;p

EDIT: And I'm also getting that issue with the downloads. Maybe you aren't because you have an account on the site where it's hosted or something?

It is hosted here on RMN, though. o: This is really odd.
