The map isn't bad, but it's hard to read that dialog. Adding a background to the dialog window might help a lot.

Characters with personalities are nothing new, but this is a change from the blank slates the older version of the game had. It's weird to think that this is an old change, in my mind, because I made the shift sometime in summer of 2020, but this page hasn't gotten the updates yet.

You might notice that these three characters have class-related graphics (a Black Mage, Warrior, and Cleric). People who join your party will come set to one of the game's different classes, but you can still change them around by heading to the barracks. There's nothing to stop you from an all-Cleric challenge run. You can also change the names of these characters, if you want.

There's no like button, so I'll just agree instead.

Thanks! Nothing wrong with good old RTP, in my opinion.
That's true! I also really like the RTP tileset, although I think it needs talent to make a good map out of it.

For sure! A lot of people, myself sometimes included, associate RTP with really crappy first games, but it's honestly a good set of tiles once you know how to work with it a little.

It is indeed Khas’s script! It’s pretty simple to use, but there’s a lot of customization that I haven’t explored yet. It definitely looks a lot better and more realistic than other scripts I’ve tried.

While I wait for my testers to play through Chapter Two, I've been doing a little work on Chapter Three. Here is the inn from the first village. I've been trying to give each country its own 'feel' in regards to things like mapping and may make a blog post on it after C2 is released.

Thank you all for the feedback!

yes now play the game with 3 of them

Once I put the finishing touches on Chapter 2, my first test playthrough is going to be all Skirmishers, followed by all Clerics.

Some quick notes: Classes will alternate between showing male and female sprites - classes have at most four skills (I think the Pirate has the most) which will take up that section next to the sprite - I have some mixed feelings about cutting the grading scale that older class cards had, but I think the description still conveys the pluses and minuses of each class well.
