You should probably try ignoring these "issues" and waiting for them to blow over. It's a lot better for the mood. (And productivity, given that you're spending less time reading and more time doing thing.)

Nothing to apologise for! I just offer advice because it has helped me immensely to train myself to avoid dumb shit. As an Internet Geezer, I can assure you that within a week at most, all of this will be either forgotten or vaguely remembered as "That one time a thing happened, boy that was some Thing, huh?" by 90% of the participants.
