TAHNRYU'S PROFILE

I love pixelgames. This led me to the RPG Maker, many years ago.
Since then, there was not a year without the Maker.
Sadly I always had too high standards and because of that never released a really true game.
But Iam optimistic that I will soon succeed.

I'm also interested in playing other people games here soon.
I'm usually open to recommendations or testing demos.
However, I usually only play RPGs.

RPG Maker and depression.

Hm, I must agree with others. RPG Maker makes happy and actually helps against my light depression.
I also dont work everyday on my project. Sometimes I do not touch my game in weeks. (Me slowpoke)

Wow D: That sucks. What happened to them?

The facesets are still there on various sites. But when I searched for them (last year, I guess) it took me a while to find most of them.

I know Rocos facesets, never knew there also exist battler or charsets.
I'm afraid you are out of luck. Even the facesets are hard to find nowadays, I saw them the last time on some polish site.
Myself was searching for old stuff and had to accept lots of amazing stuff will probably be gone forever.
If you are not finding them on VIPRPG I suggest setting sails to polish sites. In the past I found unique stuff or lost ressources on these sites.

I do art so I can do that, I am an illustrator...

Sorry my bad...
What kind of sprites are you exactly searching?
There is also Spriters Resource, but this are Rips, so I dont know if thats helpful.

VIPRPG has some good stuff. I mainly use it only for inspiration, for poses etc and try to pixel/edit sprites myself. The 2k/3 is a good way to learn pixelart and get into it, I guess.
So doing the battler yourself is probably a good idea. Remember, you can only get better, not badder.^^

Refmap 2k/3 material help

@KotatsuAkira
This is helpful, thank you.

How would you rank the NES / SNES / PS1 Final Fantasy's in increasing difficulty?

I start with FFIX, because this was my first Final Fantasy when I was a child.

1. Final Fantasy IX
2. FF VII
3. FF VIII
4. FF IV
5. FF V
6. FF I
7. FF II
8. Final Fantasy VI
(Some and especially the last dungeon were hard in my opinion and I played it first time, two years ago. Its a great game.)

Final Fantasy 3, I never really played. D:

[RMMV] Reusing Assets

I don't think reusing assets is bad. Also if the dungeon is the same it would be weird if it looks different.

Btw, Final Fantasy X and X-2 use the same assets and you visit mostly old locations. And I still like both games.
Some other games do so, too. So why you should not?

Refmap 2k/3 material help

Thank you, but these stuff I already found by myself. I have everything of the offcial Refmap stuff, also found Frogge's stuff here in the forum.
I was more interested in some Refmap-like stuff by other artists.
I came along many great 2k3 (japanese) websites in the past, sadly many are down nowadays. I had some hopes someone knows any treasuresites which are still up.

The idea to resize a train, I will do that. I actually found a good Ace train.

Refmap 2k/3 material help

Can anyone tell me some sites which are still up and have Refmap like stuff (especially tilesets). Im also in dire need of a train (not a modern one)
No rips please.
