I have come out of hiding.

I am back I don't know if I'll work on my old game. Yet what I can say is that If I do work on something it might be with a simpler system like mario x or what ever the old snes mario world level editor was again.
I can see the draw of making a game.
Yet I don't know how easy is it to make levels in smbx?

How to make image backgrounds transparent?



Used gimp
Made white transparent.
Now Shredder is Partly transparent.
WHY IS THIS?
Explain. I want shredder to be whole and the background that was white gone.
Oh and every time I switch background it switches backgrounds for all troops why is this? How do I keep specific back grounds for specific troops. Example Metroids would be lava cave(norfair)

Also I am still looking for people to work on the project with me. I am having a friend come over to night or tomorrow to show me a few things.

Hi guy's I want to show and tell you about the game I am working on.
It is a standard turn based rpg.
It's a accumulation of Nintendo games and game characters in an rpg with a mix of imported and normal Rpg maker graphics.
So far charecters that are set for the game.

So it's not huge but it's gonna need WAY MORE WORK.

I haven't even put in any doors beyond 2. The maps and characters are a big priority. So far I have gotten all but one TMNT map done which is a cave leading to the technodrome.

Story: One day while anonymous shut in is playing Mario brothers a power anomaly occurs and he get's transported in to the game!
He THEN BECOME CAPTAI..... I mean an inter-Electra-mesional traveler whom with the help of The Mario Brothers and others must thwart the evil plans of the maniacal Mother Brain and other villains of the Realms of Power!
Now your playing with power!

Ok really that was silly. This is kind of a idea I've always wanted to do.
Yet I need help. I'd love to have someone map some of the mario levels for me as I have little resources( no nintendo tiles sets beyond OOT and the few ninja turtle ones.)
Also a person to find and make larger images for the baddies as well as to set them up.

Music wise I have it covered. Unless someone wants to give an idea for an area's music I'm using music from past games of each franchise.

I can do some of the zelda maps yet I will still be working with the disfunctional OOT stuff which has no trees or fancy nick naks.

So I hope you like my project and wish to help me out I'm new/ forgot a whole bunch of stuff. About scripting things so if someone could link me to a video about moving npcs and stuff.

Also about spriting as you can tell Krang is scrunched up due to hi height he is twice the size of a normal character. I need to figure out a way to fix this to make him one big sprite.

Rpg maker xp help. sprites to big.

Hey guy's I need some help here.

Other then needing nintendo tilesets I have a problem.
You know how the monsters have larger sprites and all. Well I've been trying to use my shredder sprite and baxter and sometimes I'll end up having to use 2 events to fit the sprite on the screen properly. How can I fix this. Are there larger grids?
This has been kind of my main problem.

Hey everyone.
I'm looking for tilesets to use in rpgmaker XP. I Need tilesets based off of nintendo games such as Zelda, Mario , and Metroid. Or just NES and SNES games in general.


I would really appreciate your help as I really have no idea where to find tile sets that are already compatible with XP/VX. So I don't have to muck about in Pait for 9000 or more hours as they say.

I really do appreciate the help. As nintendo games are quite popular I'm sure many other users would want some of these. I would look for them myself if I knew. Yet you guys are the gurus here. Thank you so much.

Hello I'm new to the fourm's

Hi everyone happy to be here I'm a big fan of RPGs and games in general. I own an Nes, a fc3 plus(snes(supergameboy),nes,gens), a n64, a gamecube(with gameboy player, a wii, a ds lite and old ds.
A ps2 and psp and a OLD FREAKING PC. That is why I play allot of older games and 2d stuff.
I have dabled in rpg maker VX I was making a game for my bros a comedy based off of our life and jokes. It didn't go anywhere much but it was funny.
I really want to learn more about making rpg maker games or in the end just enjoy the games people make. Ok so anyways thanks.
