Regular attack looks very imprecise. Hard to tell your actual attack range when the "got hit" effect is so much bigger than the actual hit.

Battles are kind of long for a regular random battle.


It still needs working on, but yes, the attacks will be more precise in the actual demo and the hit effect won't be as large. I just wanted a video out to show off the working system.

Battles won't be as often as in the video and the player will already have levels from quest exp before they start encountering these battles.

Are the wings just for show, or will there be a significant vertical element to combat?


They're mainly story-based elements, but winged characters will be able to air dash further and have more time in the air, along with access to more aerial-based skills.

Yes, I'm hoping to have the demo out in the first couple months of 2017. The thing that's taking the longest to make and test out is the battle system I'm using. It won't be turn-based combat, rather a linear motion battle system, like the ones seen in the early Tales of games.
