Purely electro-based tracks are alright, as long as they fit the modern setting! I see no problem having something like that for a night club or such for example, like Shade Hunter did for his song.

It's recommended that some band instruments are included if possible, but as long as your song somehow conveys a modern setting, mood or instrumentation, it should be good.

I'd like to clarify; is electronica and other similar types of music allowed for this round? The brief says contemporary instruments should be used but I can see that some people have submitted tracks that are purely electro-based.
