A Wii U is on its way to me in the mail because I developed a huge hankering for some Mario Kart. RMN Wii U owners, got any recommendations for fun games on the console?

That's definitely one of my considerations. I know that you can redeem a code to get a free game with Mario Kart 8, so I'll be getting New Super Mario Bros. U with that. I'm also interested in two games that aren't out yet, Hyrule Warriors and the new Smash Bros.
I only own 5 games so far:
-Super Mario 3D World
-New Super Mario Bros U + Super Luigi U
-Wii Fit U (i'm still fat though)
-Disney Infinity
-LEGO Marvel Heroes (this one is pretty fun)

Super Mario 3D World, Windwaker HD, New Super Mario/Luigi U, Knytt Underground (E-Shop), Mario Kart 8, and of course Smash 4 when it arrives.

If you haven't played it, Earthbound on Wii U is a good way to play(legally). Other than that, yeah the other suggestions on this list. Mario 3D World is awesome. Pikmin 3 maybe? I got it for free from that MK8 promotion. I love the first game, but I haven't played enough of 3 to form a solid opinion yet. It's definitely pretty, though.

Plus it's backwards compatible with the Wii.
