Need to decide on a new jRPG to play. I Am Setsuna or Star Ocean 5?

CloseStar Ocean is slready in the bargain bin. From what I hear, it feels and plays like an early PS2 RPG in the worst way.
A shame. I was hoping this series would finally redeem itself but I guess Star Ocean is doomed to mediocrity forever.

...whoops. I may have chanced upon a second-hand copy of Star Ocean 5 while shopping just now. Star Ocean 3 is one of my favourite jRPGs ever, so here's hoping I don't regret this purchase TOO much LOL
