I think I softlocked myself near the end :(
I tried to get off the boat here to check out this house, and now pressing any direction makes the rowing sound, but doesn't actually let me move.
Lesson learned: I should save regularly and in different slots even in a game with no combat, just in case of something like this. Or, like, a power outage. I was enjoying the art and story up to this point, and I would like to see the ending, so I might try to play through the game again later, but I'm posting now so I don't forget.
That's not good! That's really bad! Oh my god! I'm gonna fix this asap. Thanks for posting that!
In the earlier couple of rooms of the ending area, leaving the boat isn't intended. I thought it would just block the player but a softlock is really really bad! I'll fix this as soon as I can. I deeply apologize for the issue.
Moon River Review
Good review! I wholeheartedly agree with most of what you've discussed.
There's a lot in this game which is very unintuitive. There was an absence of overall cohesion in the planning of events, instead it was mostly improvised as I went. Not a great method of creation.
Indeed there's much to be desired. The game definitely could've benefited from more consistency in object interaction. The last thing I'd want is for someone to be stuck because of a poorly conveyed and obscured progression item.
Perhaps I should make an update to the game to include more consistently responsive object interactions.
As for the Warm Stone item you mentioned... I'm honestly surprised any have been found and noted so quickly. I didn't expect anyone to pay them any mind.
It's one part of accessing an optional content secret. It's the only thing in this game that is intentionally obtuse. Every other moment of "Where the hell do I go?" and "What the hell is this for?" is a failure on my end.
Thank you for playing my game, and a huge thanks for taking the time to write a review for it. There's a lot I have learned since this project's completion. It's my first, so there have been many failures, but also good things which I want to expand on. I aim to use those triumphs and failures to create bigger and better things in the future. Once again, thank you!

Moon River Review
Hi! I'm really glad you enjoyed the game. Thank you for leaving such a thoughtful and thorough review. Reading this made me really happy :D
It definitely has some flaws, but I'm glad to hear my intentions for the game were understood through the experience.
(On the subject of unused collectables... Your assumption is correct. There is indeed more to it.)
