I've been burned enough over the past 20+ years to write large posts in a txt document that I save frequently. Or at the very least Ctrl+A, Ctrl+C and then click Submit.

Oh man, I'm sorry to hear that happened. Even for such simple things as larger texts, making frequent backups is as valid a rule as for all other aspects of game making.
