I don't mind a challenge, but there's a clear difference between something being a challenge and something that's just plain imbalanced. Knowing the difference means not having to waste time adjusting to a developer's oversight.

If the dog is controllable, you could rig up a key input system that waits for directional input and then moves both halves of the dog at once. You'd have to do it for every map and probably make special adjustments to ensure that you could still interact with certain events, but it could be done.
