This mite be to much to ask. But could someone make a tutorial on making cutscenes in RPG Maker 2003. It would really help.

Ok, im trying to make a quest were an old man asks you to find his dog. When you walk in the inn, theres no dog, but if you press enter/spacebar in the right spot the dog appears. Or if you talk to the old man it appears (that parts supposed to happen). The problem is that i want it were you talk to old man, dog appears, find dog, old man pays you. But what happenes is talk to old man, dog appears, talk to old man without even finding dog, still get payment. Can someone help me out here please?
