Man, what a year. Ok, well only 2 months passed but so many things happened.
So I've only ever brought out 2 of my customers at work (both tourists) after work to this famous restaurant-bar in our area and during that time I had this ad that kept spamming my fb of being a "local tour guide". Decided to give it a try and made an account in like November, never touched it, looked at it in December and decided to give it a try.
Mind you I wasn't really scared of potentially "meeting bad people on the net" (a thing that a looot of my female friends warned me lol), but moreso on what to -say- when I actually meet them. I guess a part of me is doing this for the sake of being less "socially scared", but also to meet new people, learn new things and to know my city better.
Most interesting one was a Lithuanian guy, and when we were talking about "Do Chinese people eat dogs/cats" topic, he said, "Did you know, over here, we have a saying, if we order kebab and it's done badly, we would say, 'Is this meat made of cats and dogs?'" and I thought that was really funny haha!
But yeah so far I've done 6 tours already. Met people from New Zealand, Lithuania, Russia, America etc etc. Just didn't think that a small hobby would turn into something big! I do think I need to take it slow and stop for these 2 weeks since I still have to prepare for -my- own vacation in Finland this 19th haha. :P
So what's everyone been up to?
