Question about VX/ACE

Was thinking about porting my game to VX/ace or developing the sequel(if i decide to do one) on VX/ace. Now my question is my game is using a ABS battle system, is that easier to implement in VX/ace then in rm2k3? I haven't really had the chance to mess with either of them yet and was just wondering this and wanted some peoples opinions on it. I know you can write scripts, i am not much of a scripter, but i am sure i can learn or if i have base ABS script to look at and see how its done i can work off of that.

Rm2k3 - tileset request

Currently I am mapping out poor and rundown village. So instead of the regular stonewalls i want to have wooden walls to show just how poorly protected this village is, as its supposed to be a small farming community. I did a google search but All i got was unrelated stuff, and it was for VX. I looked in the resource thread and found nothing useful, so if anyone can point me in the right direction that will be great. Thanks.

DynRPG and goliath overdrive patch

Anyone know if these two can go together without conflicting with each other? I like the Goliath patch because i have a higher rez monitor and 2k3 as you know looks so small.

I didn't see anything at cherry's website stating if dynrpg can cause conflicts with other patches or not. From what I can see, dynrpg only patches the games rtp.exe and Goliath patches the actual 2k3 exe file. I may be wrong but I would think that they should be able to be used together. But I could be wrong. Well if anyone knows for sure please let me know, thanks!

...What is YOU'RE zombie plan?

Just had a thought, don't know if anyone plays dead island (awesome game btw) but pc gamer is having a contest for whoever posts a good enough zombie plan they like they will give away free DLC for dead island. And this got me thinking...how many of my fellow RMNer's have a zombie plan? I just wanna make sure everyone is ready for the zombie apocalypse when it happens O_o. Never hurts to be prepared!

Rm2k3- Custom menu help

Alright have a long break from this to work on other stuff, I decided to try and tackle my cms again. After looking over it I still can't figure out whats wrong.
The problem:The cursor will not move where I tell it to, when i press an arrow key it just goes to the upper-left corner of the screen and stays there until I cancel out of the menu and reenter appearing where it should be(least i hope what its doing). Here is a pic of the current system, maybe someone here can spot what the heck I may be missing. The cursor is supposed to move in just the items category. 3 slots left and right, and 4 slots up and down. The cursor when goes over the edge defaults to the other side, least that's the idea O_o.

Rm2k3- Spriting help

I was wondering if anyone would mind finishing the sword animation on this charset, I managed to get most of it except the one side animation i can not for the life of me get right, the sword swing always looks funny. So I thought I ask someone here to help me out if they don't mind.

RM2K3- Eventing issue

Alright here's what I am trying to do. I am trying to make it so the hero walks up to a NPC and you press the button and begin to drink blood from them replenishing your blood gauge and then to stop, you press the same button again (it's a vampire game btw lol). But if you wait to long to press the button it will trigger them noticing you and they face you and say a message then walk away.
I am having trouble making this work as I made it in the NPC event itself and so far I was only able to to get it to trigger the animation, but it stops automatically I think I have the loop and conditional branches setup wrong. Or will something like this need to be setup in common events?

If anyone could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it, as I know I can figure the rest out by myself.

Rm2k3 - Need help in making a lighting effect

Alright, what i am trying to do is have a picture follow a firefly on a set path flashing representing light emitting from the firefly. I wanted to add more detail lighting, as my game is set in a darker atmosphere. I was just wondering how would I got about in doing this? If anyone could point me in the right direction it would be appreciated.

Rm2k3 - Sprite Mod request

Hey, was wondering if someone with more artistic talent finish altering this werewolf sprite? I altered it to the best of my ability and as far as I could go, I just couldn't get the claws right, as I want them shaped like a hand with claws on them. And if they can make the overall sprite look better and more werewolfy ( the design i am going for is the werewolf in the Van Helsing movie with Hugh Jackman).

Here is the sprite so far:


The colors I only need are silver and black werewolves, but I really only need the altering and any fixes it may need, as I can do the recoloring myself.
If I can't get any help, I will just play it with some more to see if I can get it the way i want it.

I.E: This is a altered sprite from the "Weregnome" a sprite made by ghostclown from charas-project.net, so props goes to him for coming up with the original sprite.

Rm2k3- Can you make your hero target specific cords?

Let me elaborate... since I have a ABS in my game, I want after the hero wins the battle to walk to a specific location where he needs to be during a cut-scene. The only thing i can think of is using teleport hero/npc to where i want them after the battle if the hero wins by using a conditional branch. Is that the easiest way to do it if it's possible? I am just wondering if there are other better ways to do it and if they exist.
