Mario no Picross (or Mario's Picross) was a game that is like this... It was first released both in Japan and US on the original Gameboy, but then has been remade for the SNES only in Japan. After seeing the demand for more, there has been a non-Mario featured version of this game for the DS called Picross DS (which sucks compared to the originals).

Hey guys,
The name's Jijendia and I just joined the RPG Maker.net community. Mmm... Scratch that, I used to be in the RPG Maker.net community about 10 years ago, but left for a loooong time. Today I'm back seeing all the new makers there is, I decided to give it a shot again !
Overall, I'm 27 years old and I'm still working on my RPG Maker VX skills. I'm married and have a wonderful kid and expecting another for August, but a lot of free time on my shoulders because I'm waiting for my Culinary Art school to begin on August.
Anyway, it's a pleasure to meet you all !
