How do you create sprites?

So you do use paint? I thought so. Thanks, I'll try it now... well after reading the tutorial.

I'm curious as to how you create them. Is there a special software you have to download? I would like to try it out. I don't have anything specific I want created, I just would like to see what I can do.

Lol, fair enough. Well I'm 17, love all kinds of music, a gamer... and saving up for a car. I'm using the RPG Maker 2003. I'm getting it down for the most part, but I'll definitely be asking questions. How long have you guys been programming?

Just wanted to introduce myself. I find this engine to be really interesting. I'm gonna to attempt a new game called "Dreams to Believe". But of course I'm a noob so it wont be anywhere near the skill level of the vets here.
